Hospitality veteran brings more than two decades of operational and commercial expertise as Accor accelerates expansion of its economy and midscale brands across the country.
Accor has appointed Deeppreet Bindra as Director, ibis & ibis Styles India, entrusting him with the strategic and operational leadership of two of the group’s fastest-growing brands in one of its most important markets. The appointment comes at a time when Accor is expanding its footprint across established urban centres and emerging destinations, driven by robust domestic travel demand and growing interest in value-driven hospitality offerings.
In his new role, Bindra will oversee portfolio growth, commercial performance, guest experience and people development across the ibis and ibis Styles networks in India. He will work closely with hotel teams, owners and partners to strengthen brand performance and support future expansion across both mature and emerging hospitality markets.
The appointment is particularly significant as Accor continues to strengthen its economy and midscale segments in India. While ibis has built a reputation for reliable, accessible and efficient hospitality aimed at business and leisure travellers, ibis Styles has differentiated itself through its design-led approach and locally inspired guest experiences. Together, the two brands are well positioned to benefit from India’s growing domestic travel market and increasing demand for trusted international hotel brands.
Deeppreet Bindra brings more than 20 years of experience across hospitality, travel and service industries. During his career, he has held leadership positions with American Express, Kingfisher Airlines, The Oberoi Group and Marriott International, building expertise in hotel operations, commercial management, sales, guest engagement and people leadership. Most recently, he served in senior roles at Marriott, where he led operational and commercial performance initiatives while developing high-performing teams.
His achievements have been recognised through several industry honours, including General Manager of the Year awards from BW Hotelier, FHRAI, Hotelier India and Marriott’s APEC Conference. These accolades underscore his reputation as one of the hospitality sector’s accomplished operational leaders.
Commenting on the appointment, Vineet Mishra, Vice President, PME, Accor India & South Asia, said Bindra’s experience in hotel operations, commercial performance and people leadership would be instrumental in driving the next phase of growth for the ibis and ibis Styles brands in India.
For his part, Bindra expressed enthusiasm about joining Accor and leading brands that have established strong positions in the Indian market. His focus, he said, will be on strengthening business performance, delivering consistent guest experiences and building sustainable growth in partnership with hotel teams and owners.
The appointment reflects a broader trend across the hospitality sector, where global hotel operators are investing in experienced leadership talent as they compete for market share in India. With demand for branded accommodation continuing to rise across business, transit and leisure segments, Accor’s investment in strengthening leadership for its economy and midscale brands signals its confidence in the long-term growth potential of the Indian hospitality market.
