Grand Continent Hotels Opens 32nd Property in Vellore, Strengthening South India Presence

New 50-room hotel targets healthcare, education, business and leisure travellers

Grand Continent Hotels Limited has expanded its footprint in South India with the launch of Grand Continent Premier – Vellore, the company’s 32nd property. Located at Green Circle on the New Bypass Road, the 50-room hotel has been developed to cater to a diverse mix of travellers, including business executives, medical tourists, students and their families, leisure visitors and pilgrimage travellers.

The launch reflects the company’s continued expansion strategy across high-demand micro-markets. Vellore has emerged as one of Tamil Nadu’s most important travel destinations, driven by world-renowned institutions such as Christian Medical College (CMC) and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), while its proximity to the industrial hub of Ranipet has further boosted business travel demand.

Commenting on the opening, Ramesh Siva, Founder and Managing Director of Grand Continent Hotels Limited, said that Vellore represents a strategically important market because of its diverse travel demand across healthcare, education, business and leisure segments. He added that the new property aligns with the group’s focus on expanding into destinations that demonstrate sustained and growing demand while maintaining consistency in guest experience and service standards.

With the addition of the Vellore hotel, Grand Continent Hotels now operates more than 32 hotels across 20-plus cities with over 2,000 keys. The company has grown through an asset-light, lease-led model and currently has a presence across business, pilgrimage and leisure destinations in India, along with international operations in the United States and Dubai.

The new property offers 50 rooms across Deluxe Twin, Deluxe King and Family Room categories. Dining facilities include Flavours, an 80-cover multi-cuisine restaurant serving Indian and international cuisine, including Jain meal options, and Unwind Bar, an 80-cover beverage outlet.

The hotel also features dedicated event and meeting facilities. The Boardroom can accommodate 15 to 20 guests, while Blossom 1 & 2 can host up to 200 guests in theatre-style seating and can be divided into separate venues. Blossom 3 accommodates up to 60 guests, making the property suitable for conferences, meetings and social events.

Strategically located, the hotel is approximately four kilometres from both VIT and CMC, five kilometres from Katpadi Railway Station and 12 kilometres from the renowned Sripuram Golden Temple. Other nearby attractions include Amirthi Zoological Park and Ranipet, while Chennai International Airport is around 125 kilometres away.

Founded in 2011 by Ramesh Siva, Grand Continent Hotels has grown from a single property in Bengaluru into a rapidly expanding hospitality network serving business, healthcare, pilgrimage and leisure markets across India. The launch of Grand Continent Premier – Vellore further strengthens the brand’s position in one of South India’s key emerging hospitality destinations.
