The Professional Housekeepers Association (PHA) and its youth platform, PHA YUVA, are set to bring together hospitality students, housekeeping professionals and industry leaders in Bengaluru on October 3 for a convention focused on the future of housekeeping, sustainability and innovation.
As technology, sustainability and changing guest expectations reshape the hospitality industry, the spotlight is increasingly turning towards housekeeping professionals who play a vital role in hotel operations. Against this backdrop, the Professional Housekeepers Association (PHA) will host the 7th Young Visionary Housekeepers’ National Convention alongside the 9th anniversary celebrations of PHA YUVA on October 3, 2026, at Gokulam Grand Hotel & Spa in Bengaluru.
The convention will be held under the theme “Housekeeping for the World (HKW)”, with this year’s title, “New World Housekeeping (NWHK): Connecting Dots and Establishing Directions.” The event aims to provide a national platform where young professionals and students can exchange ideas, engage with industry experts and gain insights into trends that are shaping the future of the housekeeping profession.
Organisers say the programme is designed to highlight how housekeeping is evolving beyond traditional operational functions to embrace artificial intelligence, sustainability, wellness, employee well-being, guest experience and productivity enhancement. The convention will feature knowledge capsule sessions, industry immersion interviews, fireside conversations and networking opportunities that encourage dialogue between academia and industry.
Topics such as Predictive Housekeeping, Zero-Waste Housekeeping, Wellness Housekeeping and Happy Housekeeping will form the core of the discussions, reflecting industry’s growing focus on smarter and more sustainable operations.
The event is also expected to reinforce the role of young professionals in driving change within hospitality. According to the organisers, empowering the next generation of housekeeping leaders is essential for building workplaces that are technologically advanced, environmentally responsible and guest-centric.
