Sterling Strengthens Golden Triangle Presence with New Agra Hotel

Sterling Regalia Agra strengthens the hospitality brand’s presence in India’s iconic Golden Triangle circuit

Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited has expanded its footprint in North India with the opening of Sterling Regalia Agra, a 36-key hotel located just 1.4 kilometres from the Taj Mahal. The new property strengthens Sterling’s presence in one of India’s most visited tourism destinations while adding another address to the Delhi-Agra-Jaipur Golden Triangle travel circuit.

Designed to cater to leisure travellers, families, couples, business guests and small groups, Sterling Regalia Agra combines contemporary accommodation with dining, event and leisure facilities. The hotel offers 36 rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, meeting and event spaces, and recreational amenities aimed at encouraging guests to explore Agra beyond its most famous monument.

One of the property’s standout features is its fourth-floor swimming pool, which offers views towards the Taj Mahal. The hotel also includes a rooftop deck designed for private celebrations and social gatherings. Dining is centred around Regalia Spices, a 40-cover restaurant serving a mix of Awadhi, Mughlai and Braj cuisine alongside international favourites, with both buffet and à la carte options available.

Commenting on the opening, Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director and CEO of Sterling Holiday Resorts, said that while the Taj Mahal remains the city’s biggest attraction, Agra offers significant opportunities for visitors to explore its heritage, cuisine, craftsmanship and local culture. He noted that the new hotel aligns with Sterling’s “Destination Architect” strategy, which focuses on creating deeper destination-led experiences for travellers.

The property has been developed in partnership with Capt. Brijesh Yadav and Dr. Rekha Yadav, owners of Taj Regalia, who said their vision was to create a hospitality offering that complements the destination while establishing its own identity and guest experience.

With the addition of Sterling Regalia Agra, Sterling Holiday Resorts continues to strengthen its portfolio across high-demand leisure destinations, while reinforcing its presence in one of India’s most important tourism corridors. The opening is also expected to benefit the growing bleisure segment by encouraging longer stays and deeper engagement with the destination.
