New resort in Uttarakhand aims to cater to spiritual travellers, leisure guests, weddings and corporate retreats.

Cygnet Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a new 114-key resort near Kainchi Dham in Nainital district, Uttarakhand, strengthening the hospitality group’s presence in India’s growing leisure and spiritual tourism market. The project, being developed in partnership with Suri Developers, will operate under the Cygnet Resort brand and is expected to offer panoramic Himalayan views alongside modern hospitality experiences.

Set amidst the scenic Kumaon hills, the upcoming resort enjoys a strategic location within walking distance of the renowned Neem Karoli Baba Ashram at Kainchi Dham, one of the country’s most visited spiritual destinations. The property is expected to attract a diverse mix of visitors, including devotees, families, couples, weekend holidaymakers and travellers exploring the wider Nainital and Kumaon region.

The resort will feature 114 accommodation units, including luxury family cottages designed to cater to both couples and larger family groups. Planned facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, extensive banqueting venues, a swimming pool and a gymnasium. With a strong focus on events and celebrations, the property is also being positioned as a venue for destination weddings, corporate offsites, social gatherings and group retreats against the backdrop of the Himalayas.

The hotel will be developed under the group’s leisure-focused Cygnet Resort brand, which is positioned around the philosophy of “Modern, Mindful, Elevated.” According to the company, the brand combines contemporary design, guest comfort and thoughtful service while maintaining an affordable luxury approach tailored to destination-driven travellers.

Commenting on the development, Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder and Managing Director of Cygnet Hotels & Resorts, said destinations such as Kainchi Dham present significant opportunities where spirituality, nature and leisure travel intersect. He noted that the region’s appeal extends beyond spiritual tourism, attracting holidaymakers and event travellers seeking mountain settings and memorable experiences.

The signing is part of a broader collaboration between Cygnet Hotels & Resorts and Suri Developers, with additional hospitality projects planned across Uttarakhand. The proposed resort will further strengthen the state’s hospitality infrastructure while supporting the growth of tourism in the Kumaon Himalayas.
