Black Rock Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its leadership team as the hospitality management company accelerates portfolio expansion and commercial growth across key markets.
Black Rock Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Nilay Saran as Vice President – Sales, bringing on board a hospitality professional with more than 26 years of experience in sales leadership, business development and commercial strategy. The appointment comes at a time when the company is expanding its hospitality portfolio and strengthening its market presence across India.
Over the course of his career, Saran has built extensive experience across hotel sales, multi-property commercial management, hotel pre-openings, MICE business, destination weddings, account management and strategic partnerships. He has held leadership positions with global hospitality brands including Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and IHG Hotels & Resorts, along with several independent and emerging hospitality businesses. Most recently, he served as National Director of Sales at The Quorum, where he oversaw sales functions across the group’s multi-city portfolio.
In his new role, Saran will lead the group’s overall sales strategy and commercial development initiatives. His responsibilities will include strengthening regional sales offices, expanding feeder-market networks, driving account acquisition and establishing scalable sales processes across the company’s growing portfolio of hotels and resorts. He will also focus on developing high-performance sales teams and improving collaboration between regional and property-level sales functions.
The appointment reflects the company’s increasing focus on larger-format hospitality assets, destination weddings, meetings and events business, and leisure travel segments. As competition intensifies across India’s hospitality market, operators are placing greater emphasis on experienced commercial leadership to drive occupancy, revenue growth and market share.
Commenting on the appointment, Anshul Bhargava, Founder of Black Rock Hotels & Resorts, said that strengthening the company’s commercial leadership structure is a key priority as the portfolio continues to grow. He noted that Saran’s extensive market experience, industry relationships and process-driven approach would support the company’s expansion into new markets.
Speaking on his new role, Nilay Saran said he looks forward to strengthening the company’s sales network, deepening relationships across key markets and building a commercial framework capable of supporting the group’s future growth ambitions.
The move underlines Black Rock Hotels & Resorts’ commitment to building a strong leadership bench as it pursues expansion opportunities across India’s evolving hospitality landscape.
