Cygnet Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its presence in Uttarakhand’s wildlife tourism market with the signing of Cozzet Retreat Jim Corbett, its second property in the destination, as the hospitality group continues to expand across India’s high-growth leisure markets.
Cygnet Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Cozzet Retreat Jim Corbett, reinforcing its footprint in one of North India’s most popular wildlife and leisure destinations. The new signing marks the group’s second property in Jim Corbett and aligns with its strategy of expanding into fast-growing leisure and regional travel markets.
Located just 50 metres from the Mohan Gate of Jim Corbett National Park, the upcoming retreat is designed to cater to travellers seeking a combination of wildlife experiences, nature escapes and comfortable hospitality. The property will feature 51 cottage-style rooms that blend contemporary design with nature-inspired aesthetics, incorporating warm wood finishes, neutral colour palettes and Cozzet’s signature accents to create a relaxing retreat experience.

The development will include an all-day dining restaurant serving a mix of local and international cuisine, along with a 3,000 sq. ft. banquet and events facility. The venue is expected to cater to social celebrations, destination gatherings and corporate offsites, offering additional revenue streams beyond leisure travel.
A key highlight of the project is its location. Situated at the gateway to the country’s oldest national park, the hotel will provide convenient access to jungle safaris and major attractions such as Garjiya Devi Temple, the Kosi River, Dhangarhi Museum, Corbett Waterfalls and the historic Jim Corbett Museum in Kaladhungi. Adding to its appeal, a natural river stream flows behind the property, with all cottages overlooking the water, creating a tranquil setting for nature lovers.
Commenting on the development, Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder and Managing Director of Cygnet Hotels & Resorts, said Jim Corbett remains a well-established leisure destination with strong year-round demand and a growing domestic traveller base. He noted that the proximity to the safari gate and the natural surroundings make the property particularly attractive for guests seeking a value-led yet immersive hospitality experience.
The signing forms part of the group’s broader expansion plans through its premium economy brand, Cozzet by Cygnet, which operates under the “Smart, Safe & Sensible” positioning. The brand currently has a development pipeline of around 600 keys across destinations including Noida, Ayodhya, Amritsar, Jaipur and Arunachal Pradesh.
As demand for domestic leisure travel and experiential tourism continues to rise, Cygnet Hotels is targeting a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and 10,000 keys by 2030, signalling its confidence in India’s expanding hospitality sector.
