Expands Presence in Central India’s Emerging Wildlife Circuit
30-key boutique retreat in Madhya Pradesh will offer immersive wildlife, wellness and nature-led experiences.
ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of Storii by ITC Hotels, Sanjay Dubri, a 30-key boutique wildlife retreat located within the wilderness of Sanjay Dubri National Park in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district. The signing strengthens ITC Hotels’ presence in emerging leisure destinations and expands the footprint of its boutique luxury brand, Storii by ITC Hotels.
Set amid dense forests and pristine natural surroundings, the retreat is being designed to blend seamlessly with its environment while offering a distinctive experiential hospitality proposition. The property will feature spacious villas and suites, curated dining experiences, wellness facilities, recreational spaces and intimate venues for private gatherings and events. The overall guest experience will centre around wildlife exploration, nature immersion and locally inspired cultural experiences.
Commenting on the development, Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said that India’s varied landscapes continue to create new opportunities for experiential travel, with wildlife destinations increasingly attracting discerning travellers. He noted that Sanjay Dubri’s ecological richness and relatively unexplored wilderness provide an ideal setting for creating a hospitality experience that is deeply connected to its natural surroundings while supporting the destination’s tourism potential.
The project is being developed in partnership with Sal Tree Resorts Private Limited. Pankaj Phulwani, Director of the company, said the vision is to create an intimate wildlife retreat that enables guests to experience the region’s natural beauty in a meaningful and immersive manner. He added that ITC Hotels’ expertise in developing differentiated hospitality experiences makes it an ideal partner for the venture.
The property is expected to benefit from its proximity to well-established wildlife destinations such as Bandhavgarh and Kanha, while improved road connectivity from key source markets including Prayagraj, Jabalpur, Rewa and Varanasi is likely to enhance accessibility.
The signing aligns with ITC Hotels’ strategy of expanding across emerging leisure corridors and developing boutique retreats that celebrate local culture, authenticity and a strong sense of place. Through the Storii brand, the company continues to focus on creating immersive destination-led experiences that connect travellers with India’s diverse landscapes and heritage.
